Inflatable sphere for a mechanical displacement meter prover
The inflatable sphere is used in Mechanical Displacement Meter Prover (MDMP) intended for verification and control of the metrological characteristics of flow transducers that are part of the systems for measuring the quantity and quality indicators of oil and oil products.
The inflatable sphere displaces liquid when moving along a MDMP calibrated section and actuates MDMP detectors.
The diameter of the sphere can be increased for 5%. An antifreeze swings (increases the volume) of the sphere. The material of the inflatable sphere reduces friction between its surface and pipeline walls with minimum pressure and flow.
The MDMP total pressure loss when the inflatable sphere passes through the calibrated area does not exceed 0.2 MPa.
